Painting for about 20 years, I started while flying for United Airlines. While I was a traveling the world, I was able to paint the people and places that inspired me. I began taking art classes in McKinney, Texas and soon joined Southwestern Watercolor Society (SWS) Dallas, Texas. As I became more involved, I volunteered to be in charge of workshops and anything else that allowed me to grow as an artist. I served as SWS President and Exhibition Chairperson, attained Signature Status.
I moved to Colorado Springs and joined the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society (PPWS). I aspired to further my involvement in the art world and became PPWS President, with signature status. Shortly after my arrival I was invited to join Gallery 113 (Commercial Gallery voted Best in Colorado Springs (Bronze Award)) downtown Colorado Springs, and 5 years later still enjoying sharing the gallery with 20 other amazing artists.
